Your sounds stay on your Mac

Your library is stored on your Mac. SoundDrop does not upload your sounds. Naming, searching and cutting run on your Mac.

Accounts

If you sign in, SoundDrop's server keeps your sign-in identifier from Google (or Apple), the email address that came with it, your credit balance and your plan. It never sees your Google or Apple password.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. SoundDrop never sees your card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to what you give Stripe. SoundDrop stores a Stripe customer ID to link your subscription to your account.

Making sounds with AI

In Credits mode, the description you type is sent to SoundDrop's server and on to Google's music model, which makes the sound. In Free mode, SoundDrop opens Gemini inside the app using your own Google account, so Google's terms, privacy policy and daily limits apply. Audio from Google's models carries an inaudible SynthID watermark.
